- Gum boots for when the paths and roads turn in to slippery mud during the rainy season.
First aid supplies, as well as scales and tapes to measure growth.
- Torches. A source of light is needed at night. Solar lamps are part of the solution but flashlights are also needed.
- Bicycles. CHWs need to travel long distances for household visits. Bicycles will help.
- Stipend. The government has plans to pay CHWs but that’s not happening at this time. An alternative is to assist the CHWs to create a business selling health related products. They’ll need training in business practices, microfinance and support of SCOPE staff in getting this started.
